A revamp has rekindled the park's 22 bedrooms and impressive Grand Saloon to their former glory: modern fabrics and decor have been sensitively placed next to antique furnishings, with the same care and attention as when the house was a private home.
Choose between a State, Classic, Superior or Deluxe room: the Master Room has high ceilings, antique furnishings (including a vast Chippendale four-poster), and panoramic views of the River Norr valley. The ensuite bathroom was once a wig room, where you can anoint yourself with Ston Easton Park's Bath House Spa range, made from natural ingredients grown on the estate. For added privacy, stay in the Gardener's Cottage, a wonderfully cosy retreat a short walk from the main house.
The Sorrel restaurant serves up award-winning cuisine made from organic produce grown in the hotel's own kitchen garden. Afterwards head to the Grand Saloon to relax by the fire with a coffee, cognac or both.
