Meghan Markle knows a thing or two about a good coat, but as the weather seesaws between winter chills and sunny spring days, finding a proper jacket can be anything but easy. Leave it to the duchess, however, to make transitional dressing look effortless. Last month, Markle wore the perfect spring-ready jacket with all of the winter warmth that is a true hack during seasonal purgatory.

On Mar. 21, Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, hosted an event in partnership with the Kinsey Collection at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. During her appearance at the exhibition, Markle wore a super chic black Carolina Herrera cape with white and green floral embroidery and accessorized with gold earrings, a stack of matching bracelets, a dainty chain necklace, and her wedding ring. Her brunette hair was styled in loose waves and a middle part, and she stayed true to her signature minimal glam with fringed lashes and a beige lip. Her hubby Harry looked dapper in a suit and pinstripe button-down shirt, which he left open at the top.

The Kinsey Collection, an award-winning traveling African American Art & History exhibition, was on display in Los Angeles from Feb. 23 through Mar. 31. The collection's Instagram account shared a series of images, lensed by photographer Matt Sayles, from the Sussexes' event toward the end of its residency. In the first photo, Markle and Harry can be seen embracing the founders, Bernard and Shirley Kinsey, while another shows the duchess viewing the collection. One black-and-white picture captured the royals sitting and smiling. Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, joined the couple at the event and can be seen posing with Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, in one image.

"The Kinsey family was honored to partner with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to host an event on March 21st at the Kinsey Collection Exhibition at Sofi Stadium at Hollywood Park," the art collection wrote alongside the carousel. "The group discussed the history and significance of Black art and how various communities can work together to preserve this vital piece of American history."

"The evening was brought together through a partnership between The Archewell Foundation and The Bernard and Shirley Kinsey Foundation for Arts and Education," it concluded.

Earlier in the month, Markle attended another engagement for a cause close to her heart at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where she met with and read to patients while wearing an all-white ensemble that will have you excited for spring.
