Mary Elizabeth Wells Pulliam
Mary Elizabeth Wells Pulliam, 91, of Laurel passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023 at the Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel. She was born Thursday, July 14, 1932, in Ellisville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 9:30-11 a.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. The burial will take place in Mount Zion United Methodist Cemetery on Graves Road. Brother Gene Douglas will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mary loved life and never met a stranger. If you knew Mary, you loved her. She had the sweetest voice that anyone who knew her could easily recognize. Mary also loved her family deeply. Many people would know her from her work as a sales associate at Roses department store, where she was employed for over 20 years. Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Pulliam; daughter Rhonda Pezikian; parents Grady and Margie Wells; and brother Billy Wells.
Survivors include her sons Ricky Pulliam (Cindy) and Anthony Pulliam; daughter Myra Nichols; son-in-law Rick Pezikian; grandsons Chris Nichols (Amanda) and Matthew Pulliam (Angie); granddaughters Carly Moffett (Rashad), Priscilla Fletcher (Joey), Mandy Walters and Melanie Davis (Matt); and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Pulliam, Joey Fletcher, Chris Nichols, Rashad Moffett, Danny Ray Robertson and Matthew Pulliam.
